Probably one of the best songwriters you will ever hear. I’ve consistently listened to this album about 5 times a day since I bought it. Buy it!!!!

Best album to date for TWB. His song writing is soulful, honest and real, unlike so much of the songs on the radio today. Saw him in Portland, his live show is even better than the record, he rocked it out!! and that voice, there are not good enough adjectives to describe how good that voice is. OUTSTANDING!!!

I really never thought I’d rate anything by The White Buffalo lower than a 5, been a big fan for close to a decade now. I think this will be one of those albums that adds some new fans and worries some old ones. Most of the songs have more country influence than in the past, and a handful are just straight-up country. I’ve loved most of the country elements in the past, but that country twang thing—which I’ll never understand—is clear in the guitars, and tragically, in the vocals too. Also, when was the last time you heard a country song and said to yourself, “wow, that was deep”? Go the Distance is a good example of that, the first few verses anyway. There are some really good songs on here though. I Got You is one of my new favorites and Modern Times is a lot of fun and will be great live. Dark Days is also a fun one. I felt like they did too much to it in production, but looking forward to hearing it at the next show.
  • Jake is o good! Seriously!
