Reviews

  • Pretty good - Witty

Two of my favorite Big Bang guest stars! I like their stuff. They are often very funny and witty. So many of the things they sang had me shaking my head in agreement at their spot on musings. They've got great vocals and I actually love the under-utilized and under-appreciated uke in a lot of their songs. I would totally love to hear an actual straight up album of music. The song Do It With You was mostly "serious" and it was by far my favorite song. They don't need to be funny for me to like them. Some of the songs were a little boring and I couldn't justify keeping them. And some of the songs did lose star ratings because of the just over the top vulgarity as humor thing. A lot of those songs are still really funny and witty and honest, but it's also a little too much.

It's like comedy and music came together... and were unable gave birth to something that resembled neither of them. Although clever at times, the music is insipid and the vocals are at best 'unenjoyable'. Interesting album cover though.
  • Beautiful lyrics

Sure, we've already heard some of these songs on the show. They're so adorable. It never gets old. Love the song writing. Love the melodies. One of my favorites.
  • It's like They Might Be Giants and Kimya Dawson had a love child

Combining innovative lyrics with fun, lively music, I've very much enjoyed listening to this so far. They obviously have a very ironic tone, as one would expect from the band's name. I'm not sure if "Alternative Folk" is the genre I'd go with. But whatever it is, I like it.
  • They are the best.

Great album, these are two of the funniest comedians working right now and this album is so wrong in just the right ways.

Their best material yet. Just saw them in San Francisco. Couldn't love them more. When I grow up, I want to be them. That is all.

I knew that this album would be AMAZING! I am a huge fan of Kate and Riki, they never fail to be hilarious and musically talented. These are basically my favorite songs of theirs on one album. Just wanted to make sure too put my opinion out to the world😉
