I LOVE The Barenaked Ladies! This album art is a LITTLE unnessesary, but music ROCKS! Especially If I Had $1,000,000-a camp fave!

This cd is another great assortment of all BNL greatness. There are some songs that are left out that I would have preferred to have but beggars cant be choosers. The improv shows the musical and comedic genious and makes me want to find a new cd out some Tuesday not too far into the future.
  • More of the same from a Notoriously Amazing Live Band

This album is great for the long time fan or for someone who is just getting to know the Ladies. It features live cuts of some of their most well known songs such as: Pinch Me, Brian Wilson, One Week, and If I Had $1,000,000 as well as some lesser known greats such as: Call and Answer and The Old Apartment. It features one of their now trademark ad libbed songs as well as a cameo from fellow Canuck, Alanis Morissette. All and all a great album to pick and play the songs you like or to throw in and just listen start to finish.

The first album I bought of theirs was Rock Spectacle-also live. Fell in love and bought everything else. Saw them in concert in Houston and still fabulous. Will always be one of my favorites. Very glad they released another live album.

This album is great for any of us who loves the band and has enjoyed their live shows. Anyone who criticizes the cover totally misses the humor of the band, and apparently doesn't know about the "naked tracks" on each album. The adlibs are hilarious and its good to see some live covers of some of their lesser played hits from previous albums. I'm glad to have something new from the band while I wait for their new release next fall.
  • About the quality....

Something to note- On the last 3-4 tours, BNL has recorded just about every show and offered it for sale online (through their own site and some, like this on iTunes)- I wouldn't consider these to be official live "albums" like "Rock Spectacle" was. It's almost more of a documentary of their live shows. As such, I wouldn't expect the quality of recording to match that of R.S. (Also, R.S. is one of the most well-recorded live albums you'll ever hear from any band, anywhere...Quite a hard thing to live up to). For these, they just have one tech in the back on a seperate soundboard doing a quick remix of the show for recording. With all that being said, this is a nice live show to get....lots of great banter between the guys, and even if the recording quality isn't the best, the performances are really nice.
  • Very poorly recorded. Producer should be fired

Very bad recording. I literally think they did it for the money. Buy they first live album instead. The vocals are not even audible in places. I've had it for a week and I don't even care to finish listening to it. Pass on this one. If you like the sound of a over whelming snare drum, you'll love it.
  • Great band, Hilarious Cover!

These guys make great music that can be funny, thought provoking, and poignant. There live shows are well worth whatever you pay for the tickets and it is cool when bands provide fans with concert albums to remember a fun night, a la Phish and Pearl Jam. I look forward to their new album this fall. I also think that perhaps iTunes should change their review policy so that only people that actually purchase the album can review it.
