Incredible music. Well written and arranged. Saw her in concert in DC on Valentine's Day-one of the best shows I've seen. Hope she keeps making music despite Sony's lack of interest.

A stunning musical achievement. From start to finish, this is hands down one of the most beautifully composed albums I've ever had the pleasure of hearing.

This is easily one of the best records of 2016. It shines in its originality and beautiful arrangements. Laura's vocals sound angelic, and the writing is incredibly profound and unlike anything else in existence. The production is flawless on every track as well. This is such a colorful, bold, and daring album, but not in a way that overpowers the core of the songs presented. It sounds extravagant without sounding too self-obsessed. Favorite songs: Overcome Let Me Fall Angel Show Me Love People Kiss My Feet Bread Least favorite: There is not a single song on this record not worth your time. It's that good.

Laura Mvula is an inspiration. Overcome was my favorite, and then I heard Phenomenal Woman, and then I heard Show Me Love. And then I heard "Let Me Fall." You get the point. :-)

Hearing her speak with her nan on the phone explained the narrative that you hear on this album. Laura is quite obviously a woman who is more than the sum of her parts and at the same time, not once betraying what is her core self. I heard the pre-release singles and enjoyed them but it's not until I heard the album in its entirety that I truly "got" the experience that is Laura Mvula. I went ahead and copped her previous albums as a result of this new project and I can tell she'll be a favorite artist of mine for some time. Cheers Ms. Mvula, you've bewitched me good

Artists don’t come like Laura often. This women’s music feeds my soul and her brand new project is no exception. What a musical journey with lush harmonies and depth in the lyrics. It doesn’t get much better than “The Dreaming Room”.

Comes once every decade. Fusing a musical gumbo of classical, soul, funk and R&B, Laura only assures she will stand the test of time as one of the musical greats. The album contains elements similar to Sing To The Moon but on a different level of greatness. I am satisfied with EVERY song. Another masterpece has been given to us. The world needs this. STANDOUTS: Lucky Man Let Me Fall Kiss My Feet Angel People Phenomenal Woman
