Shows flash of old. I like some of different sound . Saw them 7/2019 Wells Fargo’s in Philadelphia awesome show best they have done . I impressed with Bruce Dickson lead singer skill can hit high notes. I managed to get Book of souls Live chapter Bruce Dickson sound awesome after throat surgery.there was only couple of songs that I thought ware fair on this mp3 add other sounds violin, piano Bruce plays piano. Their tight sound is incredible and solos awesome is there a better song writer than Steve Harris thy best bass player. Speed of light personal favorite. Mad At iTunes know Brave new world , Dance of Death why?

I’m an Iron Maiden fan, and while I’m admittedly not tech savvy when it comes to mixing and producing music I can shake the fact that the sound of this entire album seems very muffled. The actual technical terminology escapes me but the vocals and instruments alike sound as though the studio microphones were covered by a winter scarf. There’s no crisp, clarity of sound in any of these songs and it ruins the whole experience of this album for me.

This album amazed me. Empire of the clouds is absolutely incredible as well as the title track and if eternity should fail.

After all these years, this album will rise up to top three of my all time favorite Iron Maiden albums. The creativity and musicianship are still very strong. Every song is a classic Maiden song. When you think that you have close to the end of the album, bam they hit you with the epic Empire of the Cloud! This is my favorite of this album. I have been listening to it for a 10 days straight, at least once a day. It is a great tune. For all Maiden fans and metal fans in general, this album is a must own album. Wow, great work!

This is my third favorite Iron Maiden album behind 7th Son and Powerslave. The epics on this album are the highlight: Empire of the Clouds is a sprawling behemoth, and I can bang my head to the title track and The Red and the Black all day. The rest of the songs are all spectacular. It took me a few listens to appreciate The Great Unknown and Shadows of the Valley, but now those are two of my favorites. After playing through the entire Final Frontier album with straight 8th notes, I'm glad Iron Maiden brings back the swing/triplets in five different songs, most notably in Death or Glory. This album as a whole does the impossible: it keeps you entertained for 90+ minutes with hardly a dull moment, and it has tremendous re-listening value. The Book of Souls proves that Iron Maiden's modern formula is capable of producing successes that equal or exceed their best work from the '80s.
