I first discovered this song in late 2017 when I was listening to Music Choice’s “Pop Hits” and this song came on. I instantly liked the song from the first listen. Also on the same day I also heard it on the radio on Hot AC “MIX 105.1” WOMX Orlando. I played this song at a Xmas party the same year and people didn’t know the song before and they started dancing to it. Also in early 2018 it started pulling in to Top 40 radio as well. The local Top 40 outlet in Orlando (where I live) “XL 106.7” WXXL Tavares/Orlando played the song a few times until it disappeared from rotation. Maybe it played mostly in overnight “graveyard” slots during the weekdays and weekends. It was also a hit on alternative rock and triple-A (AAA) radio as well. It also still continues strong airplay on triple-A (AAA) stations as well. It was also one of my summer songs of 2018 as well. I also did hear the song on a MINI commercial and in early spring 2019, the song was also used on advertisements for Miracle-Gro as well, even though other people said something like “Why did they have to put a song titled “No Roots” on a commercial promoting Miracle-Gro’s agricultural products, such as its Performance Organics All-Purpose soil?”
