  • Casting Crowns 2.0

This group has a strong sound but they really did go from a super fun, original folksy sound to Casting Crowns cookie cutter...the first three songs were unique...and I am a Casting Crowns fan, but give us something different!
  • So incredibly disappointed!

Just finished my first full run through of this album. Didn’t even preview it, bought it sound unheard because of how much I loved their previous album. How disappointing!! :( Where is the folk sound I loved and adored them for?!? This sounds like every other worship album out there. Beautiful voices, smooth sound, but nothing original or memorable except perhaps Water, To The One (more country than folk), and My Feet Are On The Rock. So Sad!!!

Scars. Never really listened to this song, but I woke up this morning with this song repeating in my mind. I couldn’t get it out of my mind after waking up in pain from a long day yesterday and feeling so blessed to be with family, I was so thankful for everything so I understand why God wanted me to discover this song because it explains exactly how I felt this morning. I searched for it on YouTube because I didn’t even know the name of it and I thought the lyrics were saying, I’m thankful for the skyyyyyyy but I found it and now I really listened to it and fell in love. ♥️ thank you for this beautiful song. THANK YOU!!! It’s beautiful.

  • Another one goes mainstream...

Their first album was amazing and so original. It will always be one of my all time favorite albums. I wasn’t holding my breath for another original like that, cause I’ve seen this over and over again- some production company or whatever gets a hold of the band and turns them mainstream. So disappointing...
  • Generic tunes; miss the originality and banjo

I found the first album from I Am They a few months ago and it has become one of my favorites. Was so looking forward to the second album, but, although the truth is encouraging and uplifting, the melodies and musical ease of the folksy banjo are sadly missing. I hum the melodies of the first album all day; not so with the second. It’s too generic. I’ll listen and it will probably grow on me, but overall disappointed
  • Misfits

First, I had never heard of them until live opening for Casting Crowns, and was immediately hooked. I will use a lyric from Sidewalk Prophets, “A motley crew of misfits” who have banded together to follow Christ as their torch bearer on a mission to joyfully spread his Love, and the Word of God. The song, My feet are on the rock, will move you.
