This is an awesome high on fire record, his lyrics tells you of an cruel world of survival of the fittest it just feels like your there in the moment in each song, I like the last few albums high on fire released better... but maybe electric messiah just ain’t grown on me yet, all together this is a awesome record high on fire put together really liked it.
  • The production is distracting

Kick drum is at the front of the mix and the bucket snare sound is way at the back. And the guitar tracks are sloppier than usual. Weird production, very distracting.

The music is great, but what is even greater is that cover art by an amazing artist named Skinner out of Oakland CA. I bet you have seen his work more times then you thought. If you ever saw the Mastodon once more round the sun album cover, or almost anything associated with AdultSwim, and so much more. Check out his work, you will recognize something.

Just as good and full of character as any other album they’ve made, leaning towards being on of the greater like blessed black wings. People who don’t like metal shouldn’t write reviews for it.

Nothing but fuzz. No songs. This is why heavy music is crap now. Just heavy guitars and screaming vocals. Just like 99% of all heavy bands out there. Write a goddamn song.

After just one full listen I have a feeling that this is going to get heavy rotation in my car for the near future. Up to this point I've felt like Blessed Black Wings was their best album front to back but this new thing just kills. It's no easy feat for a band to put out an album this good 20 years into their career but they did it here. Amazing, mind-melting work.

While I do like the cover art. I really didn't care for the album at all, the riffs and that were good.. But to me the songs didn't really stand out as ones I'd want to go back to to listen to again or buy
