Sould Island is worth the price of the cd all by itself. What a great tribute to 60s soul jazz organ music.

What a great album from the late and insanely great Stevie Ray Vaughan. If you love the blues you will love this album. Reese, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Noah Hunt, Joe Bonnamassa, Warren Haynes, Vince Gill, Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, Keb Mo, Jimmy Hall among many others, I mean come on, what I line up of crazy good talent. Click the download button, you won’t regret it.

The music is exception, as expected... but the thought process into the track order, the progression of his music, and the collaboration with ALL the musicians he's played with is what makes this album as amazing as it is. A must for any true blues fan, but an essential for anyone who has followed Reese's career. Well deserved, and well done.

It's about freaking time. Reese's first album is just as good as you think it will be. The sound of his Hammond organ with Twin Leslies is like fine Colorado Whiskey. Find the liner notes and make note of the players on each song. This album is a cross roads that will spawn new bands and albums in the future. The blues is very alive.
