This cast recording is fantastic, the gender swap of Bobby to Bobbie brings a whole new energy and a lot of life to the show. Rosalie Craig gives a unique original take on Bobbie and brilliantly plays her, Patti LuPone yet again is a wonderful Joanne, and the rest of the cast is fantastic as well. Though there were one or two unnecessary changes (Paul and Amy being changed into a gay couple; Paul and Jamie) this album is still five stars and one of the best cast recordings of a musical ever created. I cannot wait to see what they do with the transfer to broadway this fall. In summary: this album is a must-buy and this show is a must-see!

We were lucky enough to catvh this production in West End! The modern production was great - light and dark contrasting you being boxed in -- but enough about the production, this is about the music. Stellar performances and Rosalie Craig delivers such an emotive Bobbie. The gender swap fits perfectly! The three swooning men are harmonize so well together too. Brilliant.

We saw this version of Company in London last year and it was spectacular. Bobby’s role reversal as Bobbie is natural and makes sense as if it was written that way. Vocals are best and the music modernized a bit but true to the classic score. Buy it now!
  • Hate it

I want to like this, but I so hate it. How the life and humor can be sucked out of this score is beyond me, but the cast manages to do just that. Songs half sung, half spoken, rhythmic changes for the sake of change, circus-like orchestration added on some numbers (?) ... Big mess, IMO. The ladies who lunch falls totally flat; no irony, dull interpretation. Certainly, plenty of women have sung Being Alive, and sung it well. Here, it seems the song is just too big for the performer. The chops just aren’t there to power the song and make this interpretation memorable on any level for me.

Company is one of my favorite musicals, and when I heard this production was being launched in the West End I was so excited! I pre ordered this cast album and when I woke up this morning it was the first thing I listened to. It’s truly amazing how just a few changes to the casting makes it so much more dynamic. After listening to “Company” and hearing Rosalie Craig I teared up thinking about how refreshing and wonderful it is to have a female lead in this show. It should’ve happened a long time ago, but I’m so glad it’s happened now! I have put the album on repeat and don’t plan to take it off repeat for a while. Please transfer to Broadway so we can all witness the brilliant staging that goes along with this thrilling cast album!

I caught this production twice back in October. Went on a Thursday and loved it so much, returned for a matinee on Saturday. I've always adored the show, adored the original cast recording and the Raul Esparza revival; but this version really breathes new life into the show. I can't recommend it highly enough1
