Amazing..as a lover of the blues for many years, Peter Frampton has the voice, the guitar talent and the soul to be placed in the top tier of blues artists along with BB King and John Lee Hooker!

An outstanding collection of blues classics with guitar solos that simply bleed tone and soul. Good stuff from great musicians.

Peter Frampton is well known in the rock n roll world as an extraordinary guitarist. It's only normal to branch out and try dipping your toe in another genre. That said, Frampton DIVES head first and gets a 10 for his performance on this latest album! Listen once, then again and again!! It's authentic and comes from a place of much love and respect. It's true he's closing out his career yet one can only hope he uses his time to stock up a few more of these great blues albums!!!! This is a real gem!!!!👍🏽😎💖

Clapton was my first big discovery in the early 70’s as a beginning guitarist and this was the case for millions of others. One day my next door neighbor, who was older and hipper told me you’ve got to check out Peter Frampton. She gave me his new album Something’s Happening and I was hooked. I then back tracked Peters stuff with Humble Pie. The more I listened to Peters solos I realized that Peter had to be a huge jazz fan. That was the beauty of his style, his blending of the blues, along with a very tasteful and seductive addition of jazz. I’ve always called his style Blazz...lol It separated him from the pack of Clapton and Page clones, it gave him his unique voice. Peter reminds us all that he is one of the best with these blues covers. The first track “I Just Want To Make Love To You,” reminds me of his Humble Pie days. Georgia On My Mind is just a master class in phrasing and taste. His take on BB King’s “The Thrill Is Gone” is just beautiful. Peter’s tone is simply magnificent and his playing just continues to get better and that’s why he’s always been in my top 3 all time favorite players. I’ve always wanted to hear him do a blues album, so it’s an early birthday present for me! Fingers crossed for a jazz record. Wishing Peter the best while dealing with his health issues, but I’m eternally grateful for all of the killer music that he’s given us over the years. I quote him every time I pick up my guitar. Thanks Peter and God bless.
