So after seeing some videos of Billy - totally impressed-had to purchase some of his work- he is growing - deep bluegrass roots provide a strong foundation. Truly appreciate his journey & his music. Look forward to seeing him perform a show. Personal notion is that his own confidence and humility will pave his success. Watching his performance with String Cheese Incident says a lot. Also seeing his rig stage set up on YouTube.
So glad to see true musicians navigate through their career and find success. Billy is no doubt on such a journey- long winded I apologize- purchase this album- you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic talent...but

I’m not a bluegrass fan at all but recently happened upon a Billy Strings video. I immediately started searching for more of his stuff and am blown away.
However, I agree with another poster that this album doesn’t convey Billy Strings’ sheer energy and ability.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s REALLY good but doesn’t give me the goosebumps his live videos did.
Still, absolutely worth the price and I will be buying more.
This kid is amazing.

Billy Strings is great talent. I was not really a bluegrass fan but his music pulled me in. His guitar playing is awe inspiring. It’s rich and multilayered, Jazz-like in composition.

Falls short

I would describe this as a minecart full of giant space diamonds in the rough but the jeweler is missing who would cut and polish the diamonds into the Crown Jewels. I want to see a different producer. The album doesn’t have the same incredible energy as the live performances.

Even if you don’t like bluesgrass, but you do enjoy art and country and an old school kind of band that makes real new old school music vibes, you’ll love this. If you are a fan of Good old fashioned music, this will rock. Perfect to listen to on a cruise through the country, cruise trips to go to any kind of outdoor activities or have a fire or go camping and enjoy some good old fashioned, but new music, real musical art, you will love and need this album.
