There are maybe a dozen Rock Icons who have never sold out, never compromised, never followed trends. Dylan, Bowie, Neil Young and a few others. This record is superb, and sounds similar to much of what I have loved for years off of "Decade". The off-kilter criticism of his lyrics need to go back and listen to "Four Dead in Ohio", "Rocking in the Free World" and all his other songs that stoke a political muse. Neil has remained true to himself, his fans and his catalog. Long may he run!

Love this album on first & second listen. Knowing that the righties and their cult leader the Trumpanzee don't like it makes it all the more a great listen. Great guitar work. Reminiscent of After the Gold Rush & Zuma. Still loving it on third listen! Any righties remember "Ohio", "Rockin' in the Free World", "Alabama", "Southern Man", or "Impeach the President"? He's been writing against oppression & injustice from the get go.

Sometimes getting the old band back together isn’t the best idea. I could care less about his politics. In fact, I agree with him. But.this is about the music. And this is just a terrible album. Borders on unlistenable. Period. I prefer to remember Neil and The Horse for what they once were...

I'm digging the loose aesthetic, and so glad that there is another N.Y. Crazy Horse album! If compared to the reddiculus bounty of all Neil Young's music, this might not rate the highest, but if viewed as more of an evolutionary step, then it all falls into place.

What do some fans want? Blood? True, Young's been erratic since long time producer, David Briggs died. He no longer has that foil to tell him, "no". But Young has always followed his whims regardless. Think of Me is a strong opener. She Showed Me Love, epic without overstaying the welcome. Green Is Blue is a gorgeous ballad. Musically, this is vintage Crazy Horse. Fans of Zuma should not be disappointed. In terms of his septuagenarian output, this is one of his best along with Peace Trail. If the Horse are back, this is the sound of being back in the saddle.

In my humble opinion, NY is always at his best in his Crazy Horse state of mind. Mabye one or two misses on this release, but this is the kind of music that I enjoy most. Don't understand the reviews complaining about Nils Lofgren. Haven't really been a fan of Promise Of The Real. I hope there is more Crazy Horse to follow, because who knows where he will be in 8-10 years.
