Finally the long awaited version of Hemispheres Live! It is 14:45 of pure perfection. Xanadu, Jacobs Ladder, and Cygnus all off the chart live. Geddy’s voice may be the best I have ever heard on a live album. He hits all the notes on Freewill and then some. I downloaded this the night it came out and I can’t stop listening to it. The band is so tight on the live stuff.
The remaster of the album is good. They got it right the first time so there is not a lot of improvement. There is a little more bottom end so it does sound a little fuller.
I was very disappointed they did not give a full live show for the 40th anniversary of Hemispheres, but they knocked it out of the park on this one. They did some rearranging to make make Cygnus and Hemispheres shorter, but it really works. The live stuff is from different shows so some songs fade together and some don’t. This is not the full show, but what is included is very good. I think this is worth every penny!

I was so disappointed that all of Hemispheres was not included on the Hemispheres Anniversary reissue! Finally, we have it in its entirety (I hope) on the Permananent Waves reissue. The Prelude has been out there - but the whole epic has never been released live.
Release date wrong and preorder not working

This is actually a five star version of an already excellent album. However, the release date on the album's store entry seems to have changed to the album's orginal planned release date before it was delayed back in March. As a result it seems to have affected my preorder, as it is still listed as an active preorder almost two days after it released. Addtionally, it is now listed as 'purchased' on the store page, despite not appearing on my purchase history or as a avable download. This also will not let me redownload off of the store page.

Ok..I downloaded the three available live tracks..Freewill, Spirit & Natural Science..Stunning..I already own the last remaster but I’ll be getting this for the live tracks..there are live golden nuggets awaiting if the 3 tracks I downloaded are any indication.

I was 12 or 13 when I first heard Rush and every record they would release was an event for me. Few bands filled up my free time like they did as their music was pure joy and escapism for my adolescence. That being said, I’m really thrilled to get this particular set with all the cool live tracks especially a much needed live Cygnus x-1 book II included on the set list 👍👍👍👍
