It’s good to see him back to powerful music. Sure some songs he falls into ruining his voice with auto tune but for the most part it’s him. And the music is back to being balanced and finding equal places in happy and sad and rage. Not just a cluster of I’m so happy trust me songs. Which is good.

First time I heard “Weatherman”, I held by breath. I was feeling those lyrics at that moment. The rawness of the lyrics intwined with the mandolin held me in rapture. Then, hearing, “Completely” for the first time reminded me of the first time I known I was in love. This is the most underrated band! They are sooo good. Maybe we should hold it as a gift- to be able to see them in smaller venues, to be able to connect with them…Blue October is my best kept secret. Don’t ever stop making music. Keep speaking to my heart.

Blue October has released one of it's most introspective albums yet. The opening strings of "The Way I Used to Love You," sound like a dreamy Cure song, and the U2 electric guitar riff in the upbeat song "I Will Follow You" is addictive. I'm pretty sure Peter Gabriel is smiling down from heaven with the release this album. "Only Lost is Found," feels like a love letter to his musical legacy. Listen to the album in one sitting, it will remind you why the people you love are the only ones who matter.
