This album is absolutely phenomenal! The lyricism is so complex and deep on each and every track, and the production is stellar. I would highly recommend this album to anyone. The opening track and lead single "Robber," immediately captivates the listener with it's deep meaning, catchy drum beat, and unusual song structure. The second track "Atlantic" is another standout, which takes something as simple as a sunset over the ocean, and makes a beautiful song out of it. "Tried to Tell You" is one of the highlights of this album, and at first listen you might not figure out it's full meaning. When I first heard this song, I thought that this song was just any other love song, but really, it's about climate change. YES! Climate Change! Tamara sings some of the greatest lines I have ever heard in this track, such as "You know you break what you treasure," and "I feel as useless as a tree in a city park." Lines like these instantly touch the listeners soul, and make them feel like they need to be the solution to this global crisis. "Separated" is another highlight on the second half of this album. With it's stunning production, orchestra section, and Tamara's wild vocals, you'll instantly fall in love with this one. One of my favorite line of this song is "But if you wanted to understand me you could. If you wanted to hold my hand you would," which Tamara stretches out her voice into falsetto to sing. The beauty of this song also lies within the repetitiveness of the word "separated," which truly creates the image of separation for the listener. In the track "Wear" and "Trust," we really get a Fiona Apple vibe that is both beautiful, and mesmerizing. The album ends with the track "Subdivisions," which is the perfect closer to the album, and sums up the entire album perfectly. Overall a fantastic album. We could see this as an early candidate for album of the year. Tamara's vocals are immaculate, the production and band are spot on, and the lyricism is second to none. I highly recommend this album to anyone and everyone, and hope that this leads to more great albums and success for The Weather Station in the future

Beautiful, poignant singer-songwriter album. All of the tracks are stunners, but highlights include the excellent and climactic opener Robber as well as singles Atlantic and Parking Lot. Early 2021 AOTY contender!
