This will be the first Deftones release I will not purchase. I regret purchasing Saturday Night Wrist and Gore. After the self titled release by Deftones all other releases are weak with exception of a handful of songs. I was hoping for something heavier and thicker in sound. I agree with another review that this is just part two of Gore.

Impressive stuff. Have my favorites. Need to listen more to the songs I’ve listened to less.
Deftones are awesome & so is this album.
Worth every sent of the $8 cost here.

Love it. Especially the title track.
Deftones are such a dependable band and you always know what you’re getting with Deftones: A quiet but slightly menacing buildup of sound paired with Chino Moreno’s dreamy singing which then explodes into a groovy and aggressive racket. The soft/loud dynamic of their sound always appealed to me because it gives their music contrast and a trancelike quality — it’s contemplative, zone-out music but at the same time, you can rock the house down at deafening volume while enjoying a few cold ones. Lastly, Moreno still has it! The way he effortlessly switches from gentle croon to screaming and wailing like a caged animal is still mesmerizing after all these years. Ohms delivers and then some.
While the engineering sounds more like an early band album. It only adds to the uniqueness with how many years Deftones has been rolling on. Similar in style to Gore, Ohms seems to take a lot of influence from Adrenaline. I've listened to the album for multiple weeks while working out and Ohms adds the perfect amount of rythym, drive, and inspiration to get me to several new personal records. Radiant City a song I initially disliked had an invogorating response during a run that recalled memories of late 90s hard rock/alternative culture. There is also a very interesting clash between the melancholy drone of certain songs and the sudden hopeful crescendo of the chorus.
I can understand why certain people wouldn't like it, music is subjective.
I love it.
What an album
Will make your 2020 immensely better
This i s not a good album at all, and I used to love Tones but Gore was really disspointing and this just continues the thrend. The voacals are forgettable and at points grading & the lyris are repetative and kinda silly. Abe is whatever on this, Sergio did ok. The biggest let down is Stephs 9 string crap. Every riff is the same tempo, same 3 notes etc. Its obvious there not the same band and it happens. The only good song is ohms.
Delicious deftones musiic
The Deftones Have Done It Again

I can listen to this album from beginning to end without skipping a single track which is extremely rare for me. They haven’t sounded THIS good in years, I’m sold.
Bought it. Listened to a few songs while on the go and wasn’t terribly impressed. Then eventually I sat myself down, focused and listened to the whole thing...I friggin just love this MASTERPIECE!!! I think it’s beauteous. It’s got a crazy vibe. It’s been a jacked up year and it’s just what I needed. About 22 years ago I walked into a record store, looking for something new. On a total whim (I liked the album covers) I decided to pick up Adrenaline and Around the Fur ...I’ve been in love ever since. You’re my favorite all time band.
Lastly, APPLE DIGITAL MASTER SQ is fantastic!
