A thoughtful, powerful response to the chaos of the last few months. Exactly what I was hoping the next Zeal project would be.

From the look of the cover one would think satanic. To hear the music, it is communist crap

This is an amazing EP, brimming with emotion. Music has always been political, and Wake of a Nation is no exception to that reality, it’s just more on the nose with it. The message of this EP is no different than Devil is Fine or Stranger Fruit, the metaphor has merely been stripped away. I feel sorry for the people who didn’t make the connection, but hey, more for me I suppose. The track Tuskegee is in particular an amazing song - and probably my favorite black metal track of the year. The rest of the EP has a great energy and the music is fantastic on every single track. I Can’t Breathe is a great snapshot of BLM protests, and Vigil was on my mind for days after I heard it the first time. If the song writing on the next full length album is as tight as this one, I cannot wait for it!

Pure liberal trash. Rather listen to Behemoth. This is not metal.

This is exactly what is wrong with the world. Completely fabricated “facts” to get people all worked up. This is absolute garbage, and I’m glad a lot of people are starting to see the negative consequences of such blatant idiocy.

I have been a huge fan of Zeal and Ardor since Devil is Fine. I love their sound and their lyrics. If there is one thing I can’t stand when a band try’s to hop on the America is racist and cops are killers movement. Never thought I’d come from this band. I believe the phrase is Go Woke Go Broke. Well I hope you don’t make too much off this album. Word of advise stick to Blasphemy. Hope your next album is better.

Haven't listened to Zeal since their debut album but decided to give this one a try, partly because of the awful reviews I saw on here. It was a bit of a grower but I ended up loving it! Each song is a unique venture, yet they don't fail to sound cohesive when listened to in the same session. In hindsight, this EP elicits the exact same feelings from me as when I first listened to Zeal, and that's a good thing. The lyrics are touching and sound like a sincere expression of frustration and despair. The only way you'll take issue with anything being expressed here is if you believe the murder of black people by the police is morally acceptable. As you can see some reviewers here believe precisely that...
