Upon the first series of progressions played within the intro, one can almost be teleported into another time. One where Lennon and McCartney and songs like Norwegian wood were at the level of song writing ability most only dream to be. And from the millennia of failed wannabes whispers of a name that has transcended the hype of yesteryears wonderwall and then unwarranted claims of being the next Beatles comes Liam Gallagher with one of the best song’s melodically and compositionally in easily the last decade or longer. The chorus comes at you smoothly like a River opening into a lake and much like the sun setting over an unforgettable day, one that you wish could last forever....you find yourself looking back as if having to say goodbye to someone with whom you’ll long for until you see them again. This song is upper echelon music and an art that has long been dead. Liam might as well be an official necromancer having risen the very soul of Beatles esq artistry and composition to be shared once again with all. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I and this is coming from someone who was never an oasis fan nor did I car much for either of their solo work, but this....this is legacy level orchestration.
