Jubilee

There is something so amazingly refreshing about this whole album. Every time I listen, I hear something new that I love!

Could the vocals be any worse? Cannot sing.

At first I thought meh about some of the songs after committing to the full album, but the more I listened the more I loved it. Such a great album!!!

As I often do to find new music, I purchased this “sight unheard” because Japanese Breakfast is having a moment. Indeed, we have tix for an upcoming show at our fav local venue. I hope between now and the show that this album grows on me, but I currently find it boring. Yes, a little charming at times, but boring. And yesterday I found this album has a very powerful anti-workout activity, as I could barely finish my workout listening to this — my energy was drained.

JBrekkie does it again! Jubilee is a great, well-written set of songs, melding the shoegaze/dreamy style of her last LP with pop sensibilities. The instrumentation is super lush and complements the tracks well. Favorites include lead single "Be Sweet," album cut "Slide Tackle,"and the epic outro "Posing For Cars." One of my favorites of 2021 so far!

I have not heard such a quality album since psychopump!! I cant wait to hear these live
