I’ll start by saying that I’m a huge Duane Allman fan, so Layla is one of my top 5 albums of all time. After hearing the preview short cuts of this rendition of the album by TTB, I purchased it immediately. I can’t say enough about how much I love this performance/recording. Susan and Trey do an amazing job and of course all of the guitar work is great. I’m sure Eric is impressed and pleased with this monumental effort.

Should have had Bobby Whitlock n these songs and Eric guesting also. And Susan can sing these songs.

Tackling live Eric Clapton's and Duane Allman's finest is a tall order, even for gifted musicians as Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and the underrated Trey Anastasio. Somehow they breathe new life into this classic. "Keep On Growing" is worth the price of admission by itself. Rivals anything the Allmans did back in the day. The album naturally is a covers album, but TTB successfully put their deft touches to these memorable songs.

Like a front row seat every time you turn it on. They’re the best.

I just bought the album Layla by Tedeschi Trucks Band. I have long thought that Layla was Eric Clapton’s best work at only 21 years old. I initially thought that no one could possibly do that album better than Derek and the Dominoes. I was wrong.Tedeschi Trucks Band with Trey Anastasio knocked it out of the park. I read from a previous reviewer, that Susan Tedeschi does not have the vocal depth to carry this album. In my opinion, that is completely wrong. She carries the Clapton vocals so, so well. I love this album in its entirety.
