I've seen David Grisman several times. The first time was perhaps 30 years ago at Paul Masson Winery with his quintet. The most recent was yesterday at the Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary in Petaluma, with the Rivereens. I should have asked him to play "The Thrill is Gone", as his and Jerry Garcia's version knocks me out.

This album has always been a personal favorite. It's amazing... Jerry Acoustic is as good as it gets. I love the Dead, but I'll take Garcia and Grisman or the JGB ALL DAY LONG!!!!

Jerry and David at their acoustic best, covering all facets of music Americana. Their close musical relationship is evident through the interplay of guitar and mandolin lead and rhythm changes. Grateful Dawg indeed!!!!!
