Another huge disappointment from Coldplay, surley they must know how dire they have become with their corporate 'chicken in a basket' tracks. Do they have an identity crisis or have they just simply lost any shred of talent and self respect,. They must have accumilated enough money by now to take it to a new creative level that involves good songs with good arrangements and intresting directions without having to pander to the current day business, Sorry to see you go Coldplay, you were really good for a while there
  • Had high hopes. Forgettable.

Coloratura is an amazing song and I was hopng that the rest of the album would share this same atmospheric quality. Instead it's full of forgettable pop songs. Some of which are named with unpronouncable symbols that will make voice-activated playback impossible.

I’ve been a huge fan of Coldplay ever since the Viva album. With this album they have completely blown my mind with the new sound. It makes you feel like your taking a trip through space and stopping on different planets. I can’t wait for the full album release. After listening to the album fully I noticed Coldplay is still talking about issues going on in our world, like they did with Everyday Life. Every track on the album is different including the 13 minute last track on the album which I have to admit is a bit taxing but also magical. And People Of The Pride will have your head nodding

Enough with the terrible pop music and get back to form!

Never really been a hard Coldplay fan but for sure always appreciated their talent and spirit. Went to a concert for this tour as an “ok sure I’ll go with you” venture and was simply blown away. Wow. I’ve been to a lot of live shows. Some big acts. Not into pop fluff so much. But. These guys are super talented and their energy is positive and fantastic in person. They are way - way - more than their radio play and pop culture association - my previous understanding of them - gives them credit for. During the concert I realized they are channeling some of the best inspiration other greats have been giving on for thousands of years. The pop sheen is just that… bubblegum. But under it all there is genuine genius vibe to their craft.

I think this is a great, well paced and structured album with a very good concept. The sound of electronic and pop elements fit the concept! Coldplay is a brilliant band. If you don’t like this album, I’m sure they’ll change it up on the next one. I love the diversity in their work and the different sounding albums.
