Absolutely hypnotic and melodic, it's fantastic that a band can continue to evolve and maintain the highest level of conviction. Definitely a best of 2022 album and their finest long player ever.

This release feels shallow. It feels like they are a victim of past success. It’s over produced. Yes, they were always “produced”, but now it seems they are just going through the motions and relying on post production to make up the difference. I always felt they were drawing off of real life experiences when they wrote songs. This seems to lack that.

Beach House albums are most always built with significant replay value. In our ultra instant release cycle, OTM hasn't left rotation. I'll be coming back to this album for years. A giant through the headphones. I can't wait to listen to it through the summer haze.

This is unlistenable, and the most inferior Beach House ever. No idea what happened. IMO they peaked with the best works during the most excellent Bloom and Teen Dream. From there it’s been downhill with 7 being an album that I had to force myself to listen to that repeatedly failed. I was looking forward to this release as to correct the horrible misdirection they took away from their roots. From the get go Once, Twice sounds like Abba meets a space rock band from the 80’s.
There is one single track though on Once, Twice that should be definitely downloaded and that’s, Another Go Around. That gets a solid 5 stars and is classic Beach House with a slight tinge of John Lennon. Quite, excellent.
Beach House, go back to your roots that made you arguably one of the best indie bands ever. Use Another Go Around as the base sound to create a forthcoming masterpiece.
Cant find anything else here. Trying to make the slide guitars on The Bells work but…what were they thinking when that put this out.

listening to beach house takes me to a whole other universe. pink funeral is my favorite, but overall so amazing.
