Incredible album

Yesterday I had 2 root canals and 2 crowns at the dentist and THIS ALBUM actually made it not terrible, I actually experienced joy during the process. Once the album was over, I restarted it. If that is not a testament to how great this album is, I dont know what is.

There’s a lot to love about this album. It’s hard for me to rank things, so I won’t, but this one is def among my top 5 favs. Gobblers of Dregs is just so freaking awesome - every song is great, but that one in particular got me pumped. There are some production snobs in here saying that the mix doesn’t sound up to snuff, but I personally don’t hear what they mean. To each their own I guess.

I loved Emperor of Sand. Easily my favorite Mastodon record. First listen through Hushed and Grim I was a little let down but I’m glad I kept listening. As a complete body of work it’s very good. Really takes you on a journey. Definitely a solid record by one of the best bands out there right now.

I love everything about this album! Top to bottom, filled with masterful musicanship that takes you on a ride you just don't want to end! Not one track worth skipping. Mastodon seems to only be getting better!
