This album is excellent .the last 2 albums of 2022 are his best work I’ve heard . Keep an open mind & forget how his old albums sound. This album showcases the progression of jack whites talent . Just get it , you won’t regret it .

So, it’s not blues or rock???? He’s already had his hand dipped in what you’d expect, tenfold. I personally welcome this reckoning of sound. I’m so sick of McMusic drippings. TY you Mr. White!

It’s not as bad as Boarding House Reach. But it’s not good. The other one he just released this summer is slightly worse then this one. The only thing I can come up with for him needing to make this collection of forgettable songs a two album thing is he owns the pressing plant and he knows his fan base will buy anything he puts out so he makes more money selling two albums to the same people than paring it down to one album. Because after these records debut in the top 10 they all do a nosedive off the charts the following week. The fan club buy what he sells no matter what. Everyone else is like “Hard pass.” I streamed it for free so I didn’t care but no it’s not great.

The guy focused all the chaos from Boarder House into a fun experimental rock album that fuses jazz, pop, rock, r&b, hip hop, and re-imagined classic White Stripe sounds into one album about 30 years into a career. It's great.

Strike two….. Not like I’m going to stop listening or buying Jack Whites music but he’s definitely in a slump. This album is marginally better than Boarder house reach. Only slightly more cohesive.

Less fond of gentle versions. Hope concert rock.
  • Rather Boring

I’ve always been a Jack White fan, but I’m losing interest. This album is nothing but Jack leaning into all of his tropes to get our attention, like a 13 year old kid lighting bottle rockets to impress everyone, and not realizing we’ve seen it all before. Stop reading your own reviews and stop trying to impress us Jack. I miss the Jack who cared about good songwriting and not about what people think. I can find fat licks and electronic doodles at the bar down the street.
