This album was ok. After the album was over nothing inside of me shouted "The most revolutionary jazz album of all time!", it pretty much struck me as a high profile wank session. Miles has better playing on several albums, as well as McLaughlin.

This is real music people that is why you'll never hear it on the radio. Do yourself a service and buy this album while your ears still work. And for those of you keeping track at home, Lady Gaga has sold 23 million albums and 64 million singles. Please do your part and listen to real musicians playing instruments... Ya know like they did back in the stone age.

Woodstock took place in August 1969 in a farm in upstate New York and, at the same time, Miles Davis and a bunch of young turks (Corea, McLaughlin, Maupin, DeJohnette, Holland, etc) walked into the studio and blasted away 70 years of "jass" music and created a new fusion of sound. Miles was the only one who could have done this...he cared NOT about critical reaction (as usual). Get this record now.

I don't want to buy some music and have an artist name I can't read. I think there's something wrong with iTunes/Miles Davis tonight. I was getting ready to order, but am going to wait until they fix this.

This album is inspirational to many musicians in many different ways. Some say each song builds itself up so greatly that it eventually leads to nothing, and that's the beauty of the work. Radiohead based a good portion of inspiration for their groundbreaking album "OK Computer" off of this Miles Davis piece. It's probably best to give this album a few listens before understanding it's reality, but once you get it, you will love it.
  • An absolute must-have

An absolute must-have classic. Considered by many to be the beginning of the jazz fusion genre. Miles Davis' sidemen on this album went on to create some of the most innovative groups of the 1970s. I agree with some reviewers that the iTunes price was extortionate, but when you get the urge to hear a piece of music at midnight, and you want to hear it now, I'm willing too pay the price. At any rate, this album is worth every penny.

I realy love the songs of this album but...COME ON!!! This is messed up! why do i have to buy the whole album if i only want like 2 or 3 of the songs!!!! and whats the deal with this stupid "16.99" price! i only had enough money for a $15 gift card! Come on! this is unfair! u should let us by songs sepereatly along with the option of buying the whole album! this is just unfair! all the songs except for 1 you can only have if you buy the whole album!!!! and that one you can buy for .99 is the shortest song!!!! PLEASE STOP THIS and fix it so we can buy ALL!!!! the songs seperatly!
