I've been away from my home church for close to 10 years due to illness. Hearing Hallelujah again like Allison sings it takes me back to the first time I heard it at home. This song brings me in to many emotions for worship. Really listen to the words and it will touch you too.

What a beautiful voice this woman has. There are only a few recordings of this song, but by far this is the best. I love it................

Allison Crowe's Christmas offering "Tidings: 6 Songs for the Season" is wonderful in that it's different and powerful. She has a voice that is as irreverent as KT Tunstall, as haunting as Susie Suh, yet as powerful and old school as Cher (back in the day). And the choice of songs is lovely: classic and modern, religious yet progressive. Give this one a listen while you're busy in the kitchen baking cookies for all your neighbors. And Merry Christmas!

Having just experienced the complaints of customers unable to download Rufus Wainwright's version of "Hallelujah" without having to buy the whole soundtrack on which it appears, I went surfing for alternatives and found this gem. What redemption! What a great little record! What a voice! What riches! Not a week ago I was wondering why more people hadn't recorded the Stones's "Shine a Light!"
