Electric Dreams ranks among the best fusion albums of the late 70s, with outstanding contributions by Fernando Sanders, David Sanborn, Stu Goldberg, and the incomparable L. Shankar. McLauglin's playing has rarely sounded sweeter or more focused. These are also some of his best compositions, some of which were originally intended for the Trio of Doom. Along with Al Di Meola's Elegant Gypsy, Stanley Clarke's School Days, and Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow, it's stood up well over time.
