  • I need an explanation

Someone from ITunes should explain to me why a song I purchased called "the wedding" a few years ago miraculously disappeared and erased out of my music. I do believe that should be fixed or I deserve a refund.

One of my favorite 90's films. Beautiful soundtrack.

Coming from a huge James Horner fan, I suggest you skip this soundtrack, forget it ever happened, and switch to the Bicentennial Man soundtrack, also from Horner. Deep Impact is a great film, but the soundtrack is the bare minimum of what Horner is capable of.
  • Deep Impact score by James Horner

Rarely does disaster movie feature such well-developed characters and emotion. Horner's music emphasizes this superbly. But wish there was more included in the soundtrack album: The consternation and alarm music when astronomer Wolf realizes the comet is going to impact Earth. The mounting dread music as the woman reporter discovers the meaning of E.L.E. (the best descriptive music ever). The beautiful opera singing music played as Wolf sets the telescope in motion as he walks to the computer desk and pizza. (I had two patients who were retired opera singers. Sang and performed in opera all their lives. The aforementioned opera music greatly appealed to them, and they went nuts trying to figure out where it came from. They thought it was too good to have just been written as an add-on for a movie).

I saw Deep Impact spring 1998 when my wife and I were first dating. Loved the movie and the film score. One of James Horner's best.

THIS FILM REMINDS ME OF MY CHILDHOOD AND ALL MY VISITS TO THE GRIFITH OBSERVATORY. MOST MOVIES THAT COME OUT NOW FAIL TO INCORPORATE MORE HUMAN EMOTION THAN ACTION, WHICH IS WHAT MAKES A FILM TRULY BEAUTIFUL. THIS SOUNDTRACK HAS LEFT AN EMOTIONAL SCAR ON MY SOUL AND HAS CURED ME THROUGH ALL THE ADVERSITIES OF DAILY ROUTINE. JAMES HORNER IS A VIRTUOSO, AND PROVES IT VIVIDLY WITH THIS SCORE.
