Although I didn't like the song much, I don't think it was cuz of the accent. I'm not saying it was good, cuz it really wasn't, and it's not just my dialect of Spanish, since it didn't sound Mexican, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, or Andalucian, or Castilian. I know 5 languages, and have no discernable accent in Spanish, Italian, French or English, so I DO know what I'm talking about.

This is a great song, and his accent is wonderful for someone that doesn't speak Spanish fluently. It's a catchy song in it's own right, and the words aren't necessary for this to be music.

This sounded pretty darn good to me! I speak several languages, but English is my native tongue. It's hard enough just trying to speak another language properly, let alone sing in it. If his singing pronunciation doesn't match YOUR dialect of Spanish, so what? Deal with it and give him props for trying! Five stars for you Jason (oh, and the song, too!) ... zero for the haters out there.

This song is great, just like everything else this guy has put out. Jason Mraz is a great artist (cute, too) and doesn't get nearly enough credit. Anyone who's ever taken a single Spanish class learned that the Spanish language has differences in grammar and pronunciation among the several places it's spoken, just like English. Anyone who criticizes Mraz for giving this awesome song a Latin twist is being ridiculous, you act like he's put out an entire album in Spanish or something. He even worked with someone in translating the song, so if you want to blame someone, blame them and not Mraz.

Spanish is my first language, and I can honestly say that this is a great cover, the pronunciation is above average, and if you are going to compare it to any other artist that has done a cover in spanish (Beyonce, J.lo, Christina, backstreet boys) this is by far the best one.
However I don't like the song, I am a huge Jason Mraz fan (mostly his live stuff),but I guess this song serves its purpose, as a TV show theme.
Got to give him credit.

English is my first language, but I also speak Spanish. I do notice his accent is pretty american, but from a musical standpoint it's a tall order to ask someone to sing in a different language. I play guitar in my free time and I've learned some spanish songs and I have to say there is something really hard about singing with an accent and thinking about hitting the right notes as well as strumming with one hand and nailing chords with the other. So I'm impressed.

The only problem I have with this song is that it is too short!!! Way to go JM, you did an awesome job. I hope to hear more in the future (maybe Juanes?)

i really like jason mraz in english...and im hispanic but my spanish isnt the best...i think its awesome that hes trying!!!! im not saying that his spanih is horrible but its not great either...maybe a couple of lessons...im really glad that more english artists are making an effort to sing in spanish.....

Spanish is my first language, so I CAN REALLY notice an accent. His pronuntiation was very clear and nice but as all American is hard to pronounce the “R” this doesn’t mean his spanish is bad. I really like it! Educate yourself before posting a review.
