This album captured an element in time that has lasted a lifetime. Great for memories and for making new ones!

I have been a Plant for the days of that Led Zeppelin, however; I appreciate and admire Plant's solo work due to the breadth and depth of what he has covered musically over the past years from Bluegrass to jazz. I especially like this album as it allowed those who were not Led Zeppelin or even Rock listeners to experience his incredible voice through hits such a Big Log. I still get goosebumps from listening to that track! Thank you, Robert, for allowing us to enjoy your magical voice via so many musical genres.

In some ways, I almost like this better than Led Zep. Robbie Blunt's brilliant, sparse guitar lines, Phil Collin's big drums. Songs like 'In The Mood', 'Messin' With the Mekon' and 'Big Log' are just phenomenal gems of songs. What can you say about Robert Plant's vocals that hasn't already been said? He is an absolute god.
  • It IS Big Log!

The last reviewer is wrong - the song IS called Big Log. It was one of the cuts from this great album regularly played in the 80's.

A superb rock album. This and "Pictures at 11" are the best Robert Plant solo releases. In my opinion, they come close in quality to Led Zep's own albums. Timeless, creative, ever-intriguing and subtle arrangements; great musical performances, strong writing, superb vocals, great mixing and production. Unlike much 80s rock, this has not "aged" (in a negative sense) at all. Sounds as great as ever. Highest recommendation.
