Robert Plant continues to use his amazing artistic attributes in sound to create a collage of songs that leave you pondering and even possibly searching. The music draws you in, the lyrics speak boldly of mankind’s search for meaning. A deep album musically and spiritually.

I saw that Led zeppelin was going to be on Letterman tonight. It reminded me to look for this song which I had not heard for many years. Love it, it still holds up after all this time.

....at the top of his form. Superb songwriting, arrangements, and a great group of sensitive musicians as well. Grand, epic, subtle, and rocking.

Just discovered this 1993 gem on You Tube the other day, and love it. I can hear shades of Tom Petty in it. It has a beautiful melody.

I am listening to 29 Palms now. Every time I listen to this song it makes me feel so good! The whole album is great, but if you can only buy one song, buy this one.
  • Another Fine Album By Robert Plant

Robert Plant's voice is like fine wine, seeming to improve with age. It is showcased beautifully on this excellent album, which has few songs that are less than good. His cover of If I Were A Carpenter is probably my favorite track on the album, as Plant manages to make this chestnut seem fresh and new, and the emotions seem real, rather than manufactured. 29 Palms and I Believe share the emotional rawness of track 7, and, indeed, the same may be said of much of the rest of the album. Finally, the recording itself is a masterpiece of the medium; the craftsmanship and technical perfection of the finished product are of the highest order. Steve Miller himself, at his best, could not have produced a more technically perfect recording. Bravo.

I have to say that this album is a masterpiece, and it's my favorite Robert Plant album ever. The lyrics are complex and thoughtful, and the music is amazing. If you don't own this one, you won't be disappointed in buying it!

This is a great album. From the opening rock of "Calling to You" this album has it all.The mournful "I Believe" the hippy trippyness of "Great Spirit".I love this album to death.A great album to cruise with in the summertime with the top down. You will not be disappointed with this one if you like Plant.
  • A True Artist to the Core!

Being a long time fan of Led Zepplin, it was natural for me to follow and enjoy the music of it's own Robert Plant. There are so many attributes of his artistic ability that hit a chord with me, but this time it's the lyrical content and message of several of these songs that did it! With a shared passion for the condition of our world, I loved the fact that Mr. Plant put himself out there in a personal way-I'm sure in the hopes of striking a personal note in others as well. As always, Mr. Plant has given us a picture of a true artist's style! Thanks & best wishes on the LZ Reunion!!!
