What happened to the complete versions of the American Anthem pieces...I didn't buy this to get the abbreviated versions. I could have gotten those on itunes sampler for free. I want my $ back until you disclose the complete pieces are not actually included on this album and release the extended versions that were included in the tv episodes. Come on folks..., it's really not fair! Some of us are profesional arrangers and musicians... We do know the differences

I thought I knew something about WWII before watching the Ken Burn's series. I realized how little I actually knew and what an incredible story teller Ken Burns is. Together with his Civil War series, these must be the 2 finest full-length documentaries ever filmed and scored. Burn's has an uncanny ability to fuse image with music and his visualizations of history for the TV generation are nothing short of masterpieces.

The music on this basic cd (there is also a 67 song expanded version) is an outstanding stand alone supplement to this great television series. Several different types of music appear here from period pieces to new instrumentals and contemporary songs. A nice and fitting mix. A must have for fans of the series by all means as it has all the songs you'll recognize used in the episodes.
