The 7" release boasted 2 other songs. I wish they were available here.

They have been playing together (just the 2 of them) for many years. If you are a musician you can understand the need for change. If you like the old school style, than keep listening to it. If you are yearning for a little change, then get this album. Much respect to the boys. Just remember they are human beings. What were you listening to 10 years ago!!! Think about it.

i dig it. The Black Keys have matured, even if Danger Mouse helped them do it. Danger Mouse worked wonders in Gnarls Barkley, and he's helped the Black Keys do the same while maintaining their obvious Kimbrough blues roots. Bravo to their best song yet, in my opinion.

This song has White Album written all over it. Rubber factory will remaine my favorite no matter what but, I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
  • This Ain't The Black Keys

Different isn't always better and Danger Mouse robbed them of their rawness and energy. Parts of the song sound like a Danny Elfman soundtrack for a Tim Burton movie. I want that midwestern soul, power and groove back!

Strange Times is the sign of the black keys maturity. The new black keys are darker and more soulful. Having danger mouse produce their songs was a brilliant idea. Living in Akron myself, I'm hoping this new album will put dan and pat on the map for good.

I love early Black Keys, and I feel that every album after the Big Come Up has gotten progressively more rock & roll. This single is no exception. Sure, Strange Times is more structured and produced than their earlier works, but anybody that knows the Keys knows that when they perform, all that sh@t goes out the window.

Honestly, the track is a drastic departure from classic black keys works. It's a good song without a doubt, but im hoping it doesn't herald a change in their fundamental sound. Guess i'll have to wait for the album release, see all of you at the concert on the 1st.
