This album is by far the best bach recording I've ever heard of. I've told by many people that Henryk Szeryng's recording is the best when it comes to Bach, but I don't think anyone can beat Hilary Hahn. :)

The thing that continues to impress me with this recording is the spectacular tone Hilary Hahn is able to draw from her instrument. There is a clarity and precision that forms a shimmering veneer over a rich and rounded tone. The result is Bach that sounds clean and agile without sounding superficial. Her E major partita is stately and regal, and she allows the d minor chaccone to be expansive without sounding slow.

Great performance, great recording...what more do you possibly want? Hilary Hahn is an amazing violinist and brings both technique and feeling to these timless compositions. The recording is of the highest quality. You may want to get this on CD or a higher quality mp3, but this album is simply stunning.
