I saw these people live at the mile high music festival and they are as good live as they are on the CD. Excellent CD.

these boys have a great sound. Every song is flawless. Austin, TX knows how to produce some great music I'll tell you what!

Three of the members are song writers. As a result there is variety in the tunes while the overall sound clearly belongs to the band as a whole. This recording is good the first time you put it on and gets better the more you listen. It reminds me of hearing Little Feat in 1973 - you just know there are great things to come.

I've followed Ed Jurdi's career since his solo days on the East Coast. Since moving to Austin and hooking up with these guys, the music's only gotten better. The various backgrounds of all the members helps to make these guys appealing to all audiences. They easily fit into the jazz, blues, southern rock, folk, and Americana molds. Try em and you'll back for more Heathen activity.

Momentum is in the Heathens' corner. I've long been a fan of them, and the live albums are good, but this album is great, and will absolutely put them on the national map. Look for them at many live shows to come, including Austin City Limits in September 08.

Saw them live at a corporate gig for Bazaarvoice and was blown away. This CD is great; my favorites are Heart on My Sleeve (very catchy) and 40 Days (very beautiful romantic song). Great job, guys!

band of heathens is the best band going right now. Colin, Ed, Gordy, Seth and John have a really good thing going on. I have a hard time classifying thieir music as "alt-country", but they aren't real-country either. They are the Eagles meet the Band meet Buck Owens meet Bob Seger. In summary: this is the best band you will ever listen to, so buy their CD!

Looked forward to this for awhile. The live cd from Momo's shows that these guys have a good stage presence and this shows that they can do it in the studio as well. No wonder Ray Wylie Hubbard endorses this band.
