James, the band, is one of the best things that came out of Manchester England. This album was their first and the songs are awesome! Toe-tapping and singing along with these boys is what this album brings out in a person, especially Ya Ho and Charlie Dance. All fans from the 80's music scene, take a listen and you will find your next favorite band here.

I ranked this three stars because really it is not a bad album, but definately not memorable unless you love 80's Brit rock, and even at that it definately doesn't have the same feel as their first album. I fell in love with James when they first released Laid because the album was different, interesting and full of depth. This album is sadly kind of boring. And I typically love most 80's/80's sounding music. However, it is no longer the 80's and I guess I would have hoped for a more innovative sound after such a long break from their first full album. The album review pretty much says it all. Great if you want a light, pop album, but definately not another Laid.
