I just happened across this band and have just listened to this album 8 times back to back! Love that they can sound so different from song to song. Librarian is very soulful well written. Highly suspicious; WOW!! Takes me back to old Prince with the funky high notes. Looking at my next purchase 😊

There is no ONE BAND you could compare them too. One minute they sound like the Allman Brothers Band the next minute they sound like the Bee Gees and the next minute they sound like Beck these guys know their stuff

I was late to the party with MMJ. I had heard them a few times but never paid much attention. The first of this year I bought their latest album cir whatever it's called. I fell in love with it so of course had to go back and start listening to all the old stuff. I like it all but love say their last 4 albums. This one is my fav of all their albums. Really not a bad tune on it.

Admittedly, I was never a big fan of Z, with a couple exeptions ("Off the Record", for instance), Evil Urges covers all one could ask to hear from this band. With songs with the acuostic beauty and melody of "Librarian" or the trippy Flamming Lips-esque "Touch Me I'm going to scream, Pt. 2" , this album is a must-have for fans. Songs like these, "I'm Amazed", "Sec Walkin", "Smokin from Shootin", amoungst others on this band's discography, keep our younger generation from drowning in the abyss that is modern rock these days. Thank you, Yim Yames.
