THE REVIEWER IS AN IDIOT- LARRY'S "FACELESS BAND" IS ABE LABORIEO, JOHN FERRARO, ETC... ONE OF THE BEST GUITAR BASED ALBUMS EVER! STILLS SOUNDS GREAT TODAY AS IT DID BACK THEN- ONLY TAINTED BY THE UNEDUCATED OPINIONS OF SOME HACK...

I have to say this, being a top notch musician for 30+ years myself, the people that are being hired to review these albums clearly have either no or a very poor musical backgrounds. Anything that Larry does guitar or songwriting related is always top notch!! Faceless rhythm section? Dated? Apparently this person knows little about Jazz/Fusion. Larry IS among the 20 BEST musicians in the world! Please hire intelligent and seasoned musicians to write these reviews!
  • Larry Carlton, A classic

If you were into jazz in the early 80's, Larry Carlton was a classic. His L.A. sesssion music is legendary and for many, you'll know his music but not his name. This is extremely dated music, but note Larry's guitar playing. His effortless bends in Sleepwalk are taught in music schools as the standard. If you consider yourself half a guitar player, you must study Larry. Be sure and get Room 335 and all of Smiles and Smiles to go, in addition to the classic Sleepwalk.
