I went to see Patty's Tour 3 Girls and Their Buddy this past February and Patty is the best kept secret in the music industry. I have always been a fan of Patty; however, seeing her live and hearing that amazing voice you can't help but fall in love with her music even more! She has a hauntingly beautiful voice with such a gift for song writing that she truely is the best female artist of all time. If I could be Ursella from the Little Mermaid and steal anyone's voice it would be Patty Griffin's!

The mind boggles wondering just how one person can contain so much brilliance. Patty Griffin is an artist without equal.

I have enjoyed Patty Griffin's songwriting since the Dixie Chicks began singing her songs, and took a dive into her albums a few weeks ago. I am glad I did - each CD has such a magnificent sound. Each listen brings a deeper meaning, and this live collection is a great collection of her work. Her voice is strong and her lyrics haunting. The songs off of her last two albums, "Children Running Through" and "The Impossible Dream" shine in a big way. Artists like Patty are truly a dying breed.

What a truly gifted artist that channels "another place." She conjures tears, she imparts hope, she delivers gold everytime.

Patty Griffin is one of the most prolific singer/ songwriters of our time and this live set is more proof. She sings with so much heart and feeling and has that rare combination of wisdom, innocence, pain, and joy in her voice. This is a must have to add your Patty Griffin collection if you are a fan, or a great first piece if you are just now being introduced to this amazing talent...

Patty Griffin is a force not to be underestimated. Her songs are exquisite vignettes of raw human emotion. She draws incredible poignancy out of the simplest lyrics, the sweetest melodies, and her magnificent storytelling. Time and time again her music has torn my heart out, yet she has the uncanny ability to place it gently back into my chest - somewhat stronger than before - with each song's glimmer of hope in spite of the beautiful melancholy. If you call yourself a music lover and have not experienced Patty Griffin, download this album, turn off the lights, and merely experience it.

One of the best singer/songwriters of our generation. So many people are missing out on this true artist. "When It Don't Come Easy" is one of my favorite songs ever. Next to Damien Rice, Patty Griffin will never make her way out of my Ipod!!! Buy this CD and everything else NOW!!!!

This album is worth the 5 stars soley for the new songs- cover Get Yourself Another Fool- a staple one hears at any concert on her current Children Running Through Tour. Cover J'irai la voir un jour, and formerly unavailable CRT b-side Moon Song. Don't forget the chance to hear her amazing vocals in action on originals such as Up to the Mountain (MLK Song), Standing, Heavenly Day and others. Her supporting band consisted of percussion, upright bass, sparse electric guitar, and a 5-piece string section. Take particular note of the strings on Top of the World. This is the best night of her several night stint for the Artist's Den including a sit-in keyboardist Ian McLagan of Small Faces fame- session artist for The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and others. Well worth your $10.00
