  • PJ at his best

If you've never heard PJ Morton live, your life has been empty and meaningless. Ok, maybe a little extreme. Let's be simpler--PJ Morton is the epitome of what an artist should be. He tells great stories, he writes relatable music, and as a Christian artist (not an artist who says "Gospel" when it's really not) he stands alone in that he creates music that truly captures the essence of the subject he talks about. When he's in love, you remember being in love. When he's gettin the 'Third Degree,' you start gettin a little annoyed yourself! In my opinion, I'd still buy his album Emotions FIRST, as an introduction to PJ. If you like gospel/jazz/r&b/soul, it's one of the best albums EVER made. After that, THEN you will understand what this album is all about. They both are great, so get both!! $20 is worth the investment in an artist like PJ.
  • Definitely add this to your collection!

I SO wish I could've been in the audience for this recording! The whole album is dope, but my favorites are Mary, Don't Ever Leave, Third Degree, Blah Blah Blah, Two Hearts, My Superstar and How We Were Pt 2 (but I'm sad Put Me In A Box didn't make it!). PJ and his band sound amazing serving up lyrically satisfying r&b/soul and energetic rock/pop music. Definitely add this to your collection :) "ooo-wee, please tell me that you love me! make a world of difference to me! it would make me feel so happy!" "live show killah!"
