love the crappy (by today's standards) recordings. It makes you feel like you are in the front row of the show. this is part of the atmosphere and makes for incredible renditions of these now house-hold hits. that Landslide is the best i have yet hear!

I've been listening to F. M. since the 70's but this is the worst. Bad recording. Can barely hear the vocals on all the songs. Wish I hadn't put it on my phone.
  • As good as Fleetwood Mac can get!

This is an excellent album which shows not only how well Lindsey Buckingham can play guitar (there's nobody better), but how well Christine and Stevie can sing. I've had it on cassette for years and years and it has somehow held up but not for much longer so I got it on a download (all except Rhiannon which continues to be a problem - an alert comes up the file is corrupted and try to download it again but it doesn't work. Until they replace the file, don't bother buying it.) On a retail basis, this CD has been unavailable for years. Its supposedly in print, but nobody seems to be able to get it, so if you can get it on a download its all good. The music has a more bluesy feel to it than the studio albums which for me is a good thing. Overall sound quality is like being there.

I love THE DANCE. It's a great CD and concert, but it was a little too polished. The side musicians and back-up singers do a fantastic job of re-creating Fleetwood Mac's best songs. However, if you want to hear what the band sounded like live at the height of their popularity, this is a must-buy. It's basically the band, with an extra guitar player, with minimal over-dubbing. Several highlights here, including my personal favorite live versions of "Rhiannon" and "I'm So Afraid", along with many other hits, and four deeper cuts (McVie's "One More Night", Nicks' hidden gem "Fireflies", and a cover of Brian Wilson's "The Farmer's Daughter" along with a fantastic version of Buckingham Nicks' "Don't Let Me Down Again"). HIghly recommended.

This is a great live album, featuring live versions from the Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour & Tusk Tour. Sometimes I wish this album could have picked different versions of songs, or stuck with one tour. Because of this, it's hard to compare this to The Dance. But there are great songs on here, and the live tours during this time period were the best tours of Fleetwood Mac's lifetime. If you haven't heard an earlier version of Rhiannon, this is a great place to get it. Also, the new song Fireflies by Stevie is very, very good. Also by Stevie is a soft and touching version of Landslide from London. It's great that this album has Don't Let Me Down Again, which is a Buckingham Nicks track. Great duet with Lindsey and Stevie! The entire band also does a nice duet on Farmer's Daughter.
