Queen of pop

This was the perfect opportunity to put her real 7” singles in a greatest hits album. I do love the amount of songs they put in here as well as adding the classic music videos as well. A lot of the songs that had radio edit/7” versions to them, sound a bit off and we will never understand why they deny putting those versions in her greatest hits albums.

Don't F**K with the Queen!

Yeah so WB put bars over the bare breasts in the "Justify My Love" video, big deal. I still have the VHS, I'll live. Madonna has always been about evolution and being true to herself. I do love the "Oh Father" video AND the incredible song, however it peaked at #20 on Billboard and M's father was not pleased with what some thought was a introspective "true to life" song about child abuse and spousal abuse. Of course Madonna was not a pregnant teen when she wrote "Papa Don't Preach" or a lonely, victimized stripper when she wrote "Love Tried To Welcome Me", but "Oh Father" might just be a sensitive subject with her father and as much as I'm sure they have talked it out, M may now see the public statement and video (which also alludes to her mother's untimely death) as something that she would rather leave out of another release. Just saw her live a few days ago, and it's painfully obvious that she single-handedly created the modern female pop star model and anyone who doesn't agree should do some homework.
The ORIGINAL Mix Of Into The Groove

I'm not the first person to make this observation, but this is the original mix of Into The Groove, which has previously been unavailable on iTunes. Back in the day, was never technically released as a single. Although it got heavy airplay during the summer of 1985, Sire Records never released it as the A-side of 7" vinyl. The version on You Can Dance is the annoying Shep Pettibone remix. (As well as the even more annoying Shep Pettibone Dub version. Yucko!) The version on The Immaculate Collection is an edited version of the Shep Pettibone mess. Madonna loyalists/purists like myself have the original mix on the Japanese import version of the Angel CD maxi-single. But finally having the original mix available on iTunes is awesome beyond words. Now if only we could have the epically awful yet fabulous remixes of Don't Cry For Me Argentina!

I love POP Culture , what Madonna did in her carrer is not bad at all and this album reunite all her great hits ! I will not say that Madonna wasnt the queen of pop and maybe also now, but i appreciate a lot what Lady Gaga added and do for the pop culture so for me as part of young generation i feel like Gaga is more competent than Madonna
its good,but missing some gems
