This band is nationwide, man - but settle on a BRAND NAME!

Wow, talk about putting together an album that sings the blues, and CONNECTS...
Billy D and the Hoodoos does this.
My only worry is that people spell the band name "billie Dee" "billy Dee" "Billie D" and "Billy D" and the Hoodoos is another problem (who doos, woodoos, hoo dews, hoo dooes, who does, who doos, etc)
This band is hot, but it is need of a manager who can create a MEMORABLE name for them so there's no confusion. I expect this band to lost 30% of its first time listeners to spelling problems when trying to look them up. If they don't want to be a big act, then stick with this name.
If they want to be a big act, then call themselves "BILLY D" or "BILLY DEE", or just plain "HOODOOS". Either way, their music is perfect, their image is not. I suggest, as a manager of bands, they just settle down as a band and go with
BILLY D
This band name is simple, unforgettable, and easy to say. But buy the domain name for "billy dee" and "billie D" and all other versions of how people might spell it. This way, the band will at least get the traffic from the people looking to find them somehow. It was hard for me, even here on itunes.
Branding is everything in success... and I think this band can KILL IT, SLAY IT, if they just shortened their name to "Billy D" but bought all the different variations of the brand so those fans who can spell it right, will at least get to the band site. Buy purchasing the domain names that carry many variations of the phonetic spelling, you can point those domains to the CORRECT spelling website, and educate the new fans on how it's spelled. Hope this helps this great band!!
