This song takes me back to the summer of '72. On vacation in Margate, NJ Everyone brought their radios to the beach and usually had the same AM station. You could walk the beach and hear the same song everywhere. That song was played all the time, but I never got tired of hearing it or singing it. I have the single, but can't play it. Now I have it forever.

First off, everyone should have Brandy - it's one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Beyond that, listen to Jenny-Lynne, Catherine Street, From Stanton Station, Don't It Make You Feel Good, and Dealin' With the Devil. This band could do just about anything and these tracks prove it. Elliot Laurie has an amazing voice and the instruments mesh perfectly on this album! Too bad this band didn't get the traction it obviously deserved!
  • Gem from the 70`s!

From what I`ve read, `Brandy` was a blessing and a curse --- an absolute fantastic song that the band felt never reflected the Boogie Woogie sound that they brought to their live shows. It confused and polarized the audience, and led to their eventual demize. But hey, the song is a must have, and this album pretty much rocks from head to toe. A lost gem from a time when music was pure. Three quarters of the members returned in the band Starz.
