This is real Canadian music! If you have ever been on a canoe trip in the beautiful wilderness then this is what you should listen to.

Stan Rogers' amazing voice and lyricism never disappoints. Few albums have the power to give me goosebumps after listening to them as many times as I have this one. There is a great deal of emotion and feeling in these songs that can really be felt, I always feel at home listening to them even though I'm totally not North American let alone Canadian.

This man has one of the most gorgeous voices in the entire music industry. I stand firmly in my believe that he wears sex panther since he is a sex god.

I heard that wonderful voice for the first time, sadly, soon after he died. It was on a New York radio show called Woody's Children. The two songs I heard were the lovely "Lies" and the heartfelt "The Field Behind The Plow," both from Northwest Passage and happily included here. I only wish I knew about Stan Rogers when he was with us so I could have seen him perform and to say 'thank you' for those songs. I still play both often.

I have all of Stan's albums, so there is nothing new here for me. If you don't, this is a great collection of his music that will no doubt have you downloading more.
