Love & War & the Sea In Between

The album is one of my all-time favorites...but it wasn't always. I wasn't sure about it at first, but upon my third or fourth listen through, it REALLY started growing on me. I have probably listened through this whole album about 100 times. Absolutely perfect

This was the first CD that introduced me to Josh Garrels. The first song I listened to was Farther Along, and it hooked me. His music is varied in style, and he can play different genres well. I have bought multiple CD’s of his, and I have enjoyed them. I highly recommend his music. Thanks Josh for the great music! Keep it up! I greatly enjoy it.

This man makes amazing art. So glad I stumbled across this. Hard to pick a best song on this album. I love them all!

This is quite seriously the single best album I have ever listened to in my entire life. I’m blown away. Every song is filled with lyrical beauty and power, while the wide array of musical styles and instrumentation is refreshing and engaging. Josh’s voice is utterly beautiful, conveying nuances of emotion effortlessly, and at moments verging on the sublime. A few of the songs brought tears to my eyes, of both heartfelt repentance and gratitude to my Lord for His infinite mercy. Thank you, Josh, for this incredibly moving, powerful and beautiful music. You are a blessing from God. <3

I love this artist! And also love him as another fellow brother in Christ Jesus! I truly needed this, his music. Since God changed my husband and I's lives, we didn't have a desire to listen to the same dark hopeless music we used to indulge in. So, God showed us this amazing artist, and has become sone of the only music we listen to. It's seems to always be our first pick when hanging out at home together with our daughter, Galilee. Our daughter is 15mo and LOVES this music too! She gets busy and dances! "White Owl", has become our song to her, and anytime she is upset, we play that song, and she calms right down. It's makes us giggle a lil. We love "The Resistance", since the Lord has taken my husband and I on a Truth journey, and has given us knowledge and understanding of the luciferian world system, we appreciate the raw truth Garrels expresses in that song. "The Resistance" and "Rise" has become our family theme songs. "Rise" and "Revelator" are songs that personally touch my heart, spirit and soul. I always wondered how people could be so moved when listening to "faith" music, that they cry, but these two songs absolutely have brought tears to my eyes, almost every time! I'm so grateful for this music! It is incredibly well composed! Since my husband and I used to have our own band, this music means a lot to us. He is an inspiration to artists alike! Shows us that you can write meaningful music and lyrics to God not for the devil. I'm so grateful God gave Garrels the talents/gifts he has. God is using him to spread His love and truth!!! Love you brother Josh!!! Thank you for doing what you do!!!

A dear friend and I were talking about tattoos and why I have always loved owls. As I shared the sorry my friend said you have to listen to Josh Garrels' White Owl. I did and have not stopped listening to his Love & War album. He has a beautiful haunting voice, his musicality is unique and original, and the depth of his lyrics speaks to the soul.

This album (and others) by Josh Garrels perfectly fills the void of the music that I’ve been searching for. Beautiful and deeply moving ~ he’s gifted and has a message that is worth listening to. I’m a fan for life.

This was my first album of Josh.s that i bought after stumbling upon "white owl" on utube, I was blown away..did.t expect it to be so GREAT! The song just progressed and kept getting better and better as it went on..I immediately shared it with about five friends - who loved it! I play the entire album constantly at home and i hear my husband who is not a christian and my 11year old, singing parts of some of the songs randomly. Thank you for Blessing our home with your talent and words of Hope.
