This album and it's songs have given me so much to really think about, especially vice verses. I have listened to that song at least 100,000 times! It really gets me thinking about some of the things in life, especially when Jon says, "Where is God in the city life? Where is God in the city light? Where is God in the earthquake? Where is God in the genecide?" That really gets me thinking about whats been happening in the world, especially in Paris with the recent bombings. Evry other song like Dark Horses or Where I Belong are soooo inspirational for me. They inspire so many ideas for me and just give me new hope at the same time. I think switchfoot hit an absolute home run with this album!

This is the sound that Switchfoot needs to be at. This Album is the perfect balance of incorporating old Switchfoot styles with trying new things as well. They were both unique and professional, and this style of Alternative-Rock is incredible! The album starts at a high point with the rock song “Afterlife”. It sets the theme for the album. Then “Original” is a classic Switchfoot rock song that is almost jazzy. It has a Switchfoot feel to it. Then, “War Inside” is more of an electronic rock feel, and it’s cool. Switchfoot tones it down a bit for a power ballad in “Restless” that is at the level of many other Switchfoot power ballads before it in previous albums.

I could listen to this whole album straight through and love every song. The Hello Hurricane album live is much better than the studio version in my opinion.

i wasn't sure what i would find from looking into this band because I'm not usually a fan of rock-type music, but when i heard these songs i discovered that not only is each one unique with a different tone, but each one sounds amazing! What a lucky find.
