  • What happened to the voice?

The lead singer's voice is bad, bad, bad in this recording. I love their music but this is not a good album. I don't know if it was this particular day, but he needs to rest some otherwise he'll end up like mariah carey - only twenty years early.
  • I love these guys, BUT

So, I saw and hung out with these guys in 2010. They were awesome. Nicest people plus an amazing energetic show. When I saw them they were awesome. But I've watched videos and heard audio lately and it's just not as good as it used to be. Danny is constantly flat or sharp, and he sounds like Donald Duck at times. It's really sad. Mark runs around to much and messes up the guitar riffs. But on a good note Glen rocks out the kit, even better live and their support bassist is the best. Their studio albums get touched up and are good and I will always love that, but they gotta fix their problems. I love this band. I just wouldnt buy a "Live" album until they fix their problems.

Despite the fact that I love the script, I also thought that Danny was either ill or losing his voice. I've been to a few of their concerts and have heard other live recordings and Danny's voice was definitely not as refined and apparent as I've heard. Of the entire concert from the itunes festival, these songs were done well for the EP. Other songs from the set were good , but Danny's voice struggled.

As much as i love the script and love we cry to death, danny has truly lost his voice. They are non stop touring machines and it really shows in his performance. His voice is more than raspy, its damaged. I recommend just buying the touched up album. The songs are great but danny really needs to take better care of his voice. He's going to sound like stephen tyler soon.

I am a huge Script fan, but I feel as if when you put out a live album you would want to cut out majority of the crowd noise to have it in the background. It seems that if it is going to take a while to put out a live album, there would have been more quality work on the sound editing. Sadly, I feel that I don't need to buy any of these songs, for 1) I have all of them 2) the quality is to where I can't exactly hear Danny's voice. I hoping that next time will be a bit better.

Because I love The Script more than I can put into words, I would adore anything they do without even listening, because they are my everything. Despite the screams, Danny's BEAUTIFUL voice is still clear and heart-stopping. And why wouldn't people scream? Um, hello? THE SCRIPT were in the building! That's MY boys!
